\n<\/strong>Establishing a Center for Earth Architecture in Serbia has been an on-going project for several years. With this call for support we want to raise awareness and funding for its long-term ideas.
\n\u201cWhat is its importance and what is going to be the purpose of this project?”<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe rich earthen architecture heritage and the techniques that we used to have are disappearing. Only very few skilled masons remain amongst us and their knowledge is almost lost. We find ourselves therefore at a key moment to preserve this know-how from oblivion so that it can be transmitted to future generations. Our aim is to train people in ways to keep and protect their earth houses, and to preserve the knowledge base for building new ones one day. We want this Center to be a place of preservation, gathering and sharing these ideas.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Thanks to Cosmopolitan magazine I got an old rammed earth house in the nearby village of Mo\u0161orin:\"05<\/a>And I started to renew it with the great help of friends and colleagues of mine:\"06<\/a>Nevertheless, there is still a lot of work in order to make this center growing and living: \"07<\/a>This year we are planning very interesting works: earth floors with underfloor heating, clay oven and stove, mud mortars,\u00a0 southern greenhouse, natural roof insulation,solar panels and much, much more…\"08<\/a>What we do have is enthusiasm, knowledge and our hands! What we don’t have is money – estimated value of these works is about 30.000 euros. Therefore we need your help, and any help, even the smallest, is welcome!<\/p>\n
